Massage One GC

Our signature lymphatic drainage massage uses gentle strokes to encourage the movement of lymph fluid around the body. This helps remove any blockages and ensures the lymph nodes can function properly and achieve optimal well-being.

While our massage technique is most well known for its ability to reduce fluid retention and bloating, it also offers a wide range of benefits, including common women’s health concerns.

Interestingly, in traditional Eastern cultures and in Ayurvedic medical protocols, the lymphatic system is the first point of consideration for concerns relating to hormones, menstruation and menopause. They believe that these hormonal imbalances are primarily caused by blocked lymph nodes and that strategies that encourage lymph movement can relieve many symptoms.

Today, we will explore how our M1 Lymphatic Method can assist with PCOS symptoms, menopause, and all stages of pregnancy.

PCOS

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. The causes of this condition are largely unknown but may involve a combination of hormonal imbalances, genetics and environmental factors.

Symptoms and severity of PSOC can vary between individuals, however commonly include menstrual irregularity and painful periods, excess hair growth across the body, acne, weight gain and reduced fertility. There is often increased inflammation in the gut and other areas of the body too.

Fortunately, lymphatic massage can help to alleviate many of these symptoms. By moving stagnant lymph fluid through the body, we can help the body excrete waste and toxins, reduce inflammation and minimize fluid retention. This can significantly reduce cramping, discomfort and bloating that are commonly associated with PCOS.

When the body is functioning optimally, all areas of health should improve. With regular treatment, those experiencing PCOS may also notice an improvement in the regularity and consistency of their menstrual cycle.

Menopause

Most women will begin to go through menopause in their mid-40s to mid-50s. It is officially diagnosed after 12 months of no menstrual cycle. On average, perimenopausal symptoms can last four years and the majority of symptoms will gradually ease during menopause and postmenopause.

Individuals may experience a range of physical and emotional symptoms including hot flashes and night sweats, vaginal dryness and changes in libido, weight changes, insomnia, and depression.

By utilizing our calming M1 Lymphatic Massage technique, we can help to reduce stress and anxiety and promote feelings of overall happiness and wellbeing. This can also lead to improvements in sleep quality and comfort. Many women who are going through menopause experience Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). RLS is a condition characterized by a nearly irresistible urge to move the legs, typically in the evenings. By calming the nervous system and muscles, the severity of this condition can be reduced.

During perimenopause, hormone levels are constantly changing. Women who go through stages of high estrogen and low progesterone levels may experience water retention and bloating. Estrogen often acts as a fluid retaining hormone, while progesterone is a natural diuretic. Therefore, when these hormones are imbalanced, bloating can occur. This is commonly the cause of perimenopausal bloating. Our M1 Lymphatic Massage provides immediate and ongoing assistance with fluid retention, allowing clients to feel lighter and more comfortable.

Pregnancy/Conception/IVF

By promoting overall wellbeing, our M1 Lymphatic Method can assist with all stages of pregnancy and IVF – from preconception to postpartum recovery.
